Politicians have never been swayed by facts. They will only be swayed by voters. In a democracy, if that is what you like to call this government, politicians are whores - for sale to the highest bidder. Policy will only change when it becomes evident that they will need the "marijuana vote" to stay in office.
If any liberty, in any form is important to you, then you should be standing up for liberty for all - across the board, whether you agree with the particular choice or not. "Give me liberty of give me death". Does that ring any bells?
Also, keep in mind - the founding fathers were law breakers, until they won their liberty from the British.
Also - B.O. - You said: "I don't know what this says about the on-line community" - get a clue, and fast. We are the ones who will put you out of the white house in November.
